05 / CUSTOM CAPTURE

Capture the pollutant
at the source.

Backboards, downdraft tables and booths, hoods, articulated arms, Pouyès rings and machine capture devices: our engineering office designs the capture hood suited to your workstation, your pollutant and the operator's movements.

WHY CAPTURE AT SOURCE

It all comes down to the capture hood.

A pollutant captured before it spreads protects the operator and the whole workshop. The closer the hood is to the emission, the lower the airflow needed, and with it the size and cost of the entire installation.

Have my workstation assessed
  • AirflowLess air to extract

A hood placed as close as possible to the emission captures the pollutant with a lower airflow.

  • EquipmentA more compact filter

Less airflow means a smaller dust collector, lighter ductwork and a smaller footprint.

  • OperationLess energy

A less powerful fan and less heated air discharged: your bill goes down every day.

OUR CAPTURE DEVICES

From standard to bespoke.

Standard when it's enough, bespoke when it's needed: the capture geometry follows the process, never the other way round.

  • Extraction backboards — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    Manual workstation

    Extraction backboards

Extraction wall at the back of the workstation for grinding, sanding or deburring, with worktop and lighting.

  • Downdraft tables — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    Extraction through the worktop

    Downdraft tables

Perforated worktop that draws down the dust and fumes produced on the part.

  • Extraction booths — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    Open enclosure

    Extraction booths

For large parts, painting or solvents: filtering wall and controlled airflow.

  • Capture hoods — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    Above the process

    Capture hoods

Hoods sized above presses, furnaces and baths to capture fumes and hot vapours.

  • Articulated arms — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    Welding, localised emissions

    Articulated arms

Swivelling arms brought as close as possible to the source, then repositioned for each part.

  • Pouyès rings — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    Tanks, hoppers, mixers

    Pouyès rings

Peripheral capture around tank openings to reduce the ventilation airflow required.

  • Special capture devices — CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT
    On the machine

    Special capture devices

Covers, nozzles, enclosures and devices designed around your machine or the actual emission zone.

  • YOUR WORKSTATION ISN'T LISTED?

OUR METHOD

From the workstation to the installation.

The product isn't the starting point. The emission source is.

  1. 01Analyse the workstation

Type of pollutant, emission point, operator movements and pace.

  2. 02Design the capture hood

Shape, distance from the source and airflow direction: this is where it all happens.

  3. 03Calculate the network

Capture airflow, velocities, pressure losses, then choice of fan and filtration.

  4. 04Install and adjust

Manufacture, installation, balancing and commissioning of the system.

CAPTAIR & DIMAVENT / ENGINEERING OFFICE

Describe the workstation.
We design the capture hood.

Type of pollutant, machine or task to capture, pace and layout constraints: a few details and a photo are enough to start the study.
